Meet the Team

Dr. Therese House-Vereeke is a native to West Michigan, having grown up in the Grand Rapids area. Dr. Therese received her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Grand Valley State University and her Doctorate in Chiropractic from Life University. During her time at Life University, she took part in three Chiropractic mission trips to El Salvador. She also took part in two research projects which looked at how Chiropractic care can lower blood pressure.

Dr. Therese has always had strong passion for improving the health of children and families. This passion had caused her to seek additional training in pediatric care from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and Hope for Autism. She is also certified in Webster technique, a specific Chiropractic technique utilized during pregnancy. Dr. Therese is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and Michigan Association of Chiropractors.

Dr. Therese uses chiropractic care to improve the health and wellness in all areas of patient's lives, whether they are having problems with back pain or neck pain, or just want to start feeling better when they wake up in the morning. Dr. Therese takes a "whole person" approach in chiropractic care, which means looking for the underlying causes of disease, discomfort, and pain, as opposed to just treating the symptoms. Many seemingly unrelated symptoms often arise from imbalances in the spinal column, and Dr. Therese will be able to determine the root cause of the problem and create a personalized chiropractic and wellness plan to suit each patient's individual needs. Under the supervision and care of our caring and skilled chiropractor, patients report higher functioning in all areas of their lives.

Dr. Jackie Prins was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. In high school, Dr. Jackie fell in love with the chiropractic profession when a mentor showed her the many benefits chiropractic offers and she found personal improvement in athletic performance.  Upon graduation, she attended Grand Valley State University where she received her Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science. While at Grand Valley, she became a certified massage therapist and worked in a chiropractic office where she learned to relieve stress and tension. It was in those two years that Dr. Jackie became determined in making her purpose to bring stress relief to others. Jackie attended chiropractic school at Palmer West in San Jose, California.  During her time at Palmer, she took interest in learning a variety of techniques available to the chiropractic profession. She started a campus program for integrative medicine with a goal of learning how health professionals of all kinds can work together in the interest of a person to be able to achieve their healthiest self.

Dr. Jackie moved back to West Michigan with her husband after becoming licensed as a Doctor of chiropractic. Her husband is a Hudsonville native and she knew it was an area she wanted to settle and raise her family. Dr. Jackie worked as an associate for four years where she saw a variety of patients and fell in love with seeing kids and families, in particular. She and her husband now have a two year old and a two month old. Dr. Jackie is excited to join the team at Healthy Choice Family Chiropractic to bring better health and wellness to the Hudsonville area!
